Pride Month is here, and at Leroy’s Place, we’re kicking off the celebration by highlighting some of the incredible LGBTQIA+ artists and makers whose work we carry! Supporting LGBTQIA+ makers is one of the most meaningful ways we can honor the spirit of Pride—not just in June, but all year long.
1. POP ART SPRAY CAN BY NONAMEY

These incredible pop-art sculptures—hand crafted from cardboard and paint—were created by Nonamey (He/Him), a trans, Two-Spirit Indigenous artist and designer from the Ojibwe Nation—Bad River and Lac du Flambeau Tribes. Nonamey’s multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, fashion, video, and installation, with each piece serving as both resistance and ceremony.
His work– which weaves together beauty, memory, and anti-colonial storytelling– has long inspired us, and we’re proud to house original pieces in both our Brooklyn and New Orleans locations.

2. CANDLES BY VIRGINS ON FIRE
Virgins On Fire Candle Co. was created by Brooklyn native Jesse Regis who launched the company in June 2020 as a bold, burning rejection of the 9-to-5 grind, corporate monotony, and microwave-salmon office culture.
Virgins On Fire is queerness, rebellion, and creative liberation in wax form. Every candle is a declaration—of freedom, individuality, and of not settling for performative rainbow capitalism. These aren’t mass-produced scents—they’re handmade with love and wit.
We’re especially thrilled to carry exclusive versions with custom-designed labels just for us!

3. PRINTS AND CARDS BY ASH & CHESS

The vibrant, joy-filled work of Ash + Chess is known for its bold retro color palettes, playful designs, and unapologetically LGBTQIA+ messaging.
These cards and prints celebrate LGBTQIA+ love and resist hate. Ash + Chess create art that uplifts, empowers, and connects.

4. Paw de Deux
Paw de Deux is a heart-driven small business based in Pittsburgh, PA, founded by Ashley Hanna. They create sustainable, handmade pieces that honor the one-of-a-kind connection between pets and their people. With a mission rooted in compassion and community, they go beyond just making beautiful things—they uplift others by supporting fellow local makers, stocking ethical small-batch brands, and giving back through their Paws for a Cause Collection, which donates to charity with every purchase.

5. LGBTQIA+ SUPPORT SOCKS BY CONSCIOUS STEP

While not created by a LGBTQIA+ maker, Conscious Step brings bright, fair-trade socks with a purpose: like this specific pair of their LGBTQ+ support socks that donates $1 to The Trevor Project, the lifeline for queer youth in crisis. With young LGBTQ+ people facing four times the risk of suicide, these socks do more than warm your feet—they fund life-affirming chats, texts, and safe spaces. Stand with community one step at a time in these pride-approved socks!
6. Snash Jewelry
Bold, unisex, and unapologetically New York — SNASH JEWELRY brings the attitude with street-style pieces that celebrate individuality and play. Founded by Brooklyn-based designer Shanna Nash, SNASH reimagines classic nameplate jewelry with cheeky twists and snack-inspired flair. Every piece is designed in-house and made in the U.S., serving up statement accessories for every flavor of style.

7. THE FOUND

Colorful, clever, and committed to community—The Found is a Queer and Latino co-owned brand that’s been giving back since day one. Known for their playful designs and bold statements, they’ve also donated over $175,000 to organizations supporting trans rights, racial justice, immigrant support, reproductive freedom, and more. From The Trevor Project to Planned Parenthood, The Found shows that good design can do great things.
